The 70th FBA Annual Meeting will take place April 13 – 15 at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, CA. The Hotel Del Coronado, or “The Del” as it’s affectionately known, was built in 1888 and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977. It offers every contemporary convenience in an enchanting Victorian atmosphere. Located on the quaint island of Coronado, USA Today has called The Del, “one of the top 10 resorts in the world.”
This year, FBA is Pooling Perspectives to highlight a 360 degree view of corrugated packaging’s supply chain: from retailer, to CPG, to corrugated supplier. Each position in the supply chain has a unique vantage point and understanding those perspectives is vital to creating strategies to better your business. The meeting begins with an opening gala dinner the evening of April 13th followed on the 14th by FBA’s general session featuring a presentation by Safeway Inc.’s Group Vice President of Supply Chain and Strategic Sourcing, Linda Nordgren. In addition, you’ll hear a state of the industry address, the corrugated purchasing philosophy of a key industry customer and how our industry is working to meet the needs of all supply chain participants.

New for 2010 a Combined Session and Golf Tournament
By co-locating the FBA Annual Meeting and the AICC Spring Meeting, both associations offer attendees maximum networking opportunities while allowing for convenience of travel, overall cost savings and added value. In addition to their individual sessions, for the first time, AICC and FBA will hold a combined general session and golf tournament on Thursday, April 15.
The combined general session will take a hard-hitting look at the economic state of our industry with presentations by well-known analyst Mark Wilde of Deutsche Bank and Phil McKiernan of PTIS with a report on the implications of sustainable packaging drivers.. The session will also include a report on new issues in sustainability and an update on climate change legislation. Plus, a keynote address by best-selling author and business advisor Jason Jennings.
