Nearly 90 percent of Fibre Box Association members are Independent Corrugators or Independent Sheet Plants. Active independent members agree they're more competitive in business because of their participation in FBA's standing committees and focused independent networking opportunities. FBA offers two different annual Independent conferences, and has an Independent Committee.

Independent Committee
Founded in 2006, the
FBA Independent Committee works to develop programs and services that meet the needs of our Independent members. The committee is also responsible for independent member recruitment and retention.
The Independent Committee includes two sub-committees, the Independent Sheet Plant Committee and the Independent Corrugator Committee, responsible for planning the Independent Sheet Plant Workshop and the Independent Corrugator Executive Conference.
Independent Sheet Plant Workshop
The Independent Sheet Plant Operators Workshop is a three-day workshop including roundtable discussion, presentations and plenty of valuable networking time.

2011 Sheet Plant Workshop
Sixty-four attendees representing thirty-two companies gathered in the Big Easy, New Orleans, Louisiana, on
February 28 - March 2, 2011 for Fibre Box Association's (FBA's) Annual Independent Sheet Plant Operators
Workshop. The successful event included twelve new participants, and provided learning, problem solving,
