Audit Committee

• Reviews the annual audit and recommends its approval or modification to the Board
• Analyzes the financial statements of the organization and the competency of the auditing firm

Nominating Committee

• Annually develops a slate of officers and directors to recommend to the Board of Directors and general members
• Consists of past FBA officers presently serving on the board

Communications Committee

• The FBA Communications Committee was approved by the Board of Directors in 2006 to develop communications that will market FBA and provide the membership with continuing education on FBA’s value proposition; provide support to the communications needs of FBA-sponsored organizations; and develop messaging and promotional techniques to enhance the perception of corrugated’s image and value.

Corrrugated Packaging Alliance

• Co-sponsored by the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) and FBA
• Addresses competing material issues impacting the corrugated industry

CPA Action Team

• Co-sponsored by the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) and FBA
• Addresses competing material issues impacting the corrugated industry

Data Services Committee

• Responsible for business, labor, manufacturing, market and economic data programs

Environmental Committee

• Monitors environmental issues
• Develops strategies and FBA positions in response to the corrugated industry’s concerns

Human Resources Committee

• Reviews legislative and regulatory issues, including labor law developments impacting employee relations
• Provides a forum to discuss employee relations and labor issues and an information clearing house for corrugated industry-specific bargaining trends or developments

Independent Committee

• Develops programs and services that meet the needs of independent corrugator and sheet plant members.
• Sponsors annual Independent Corrugators Executive Conference and Sheet Plant Operators Workshop

Independent Corrugator Committee

• This committee, comprised of independent corrugator members, works to plan the annual Independent Corrugator Executive Conference, providing a meeting of the highest quality and benefit to their sector of the membership.

Independent Sheet Plant Committee

• This committee, comprised of independent sheet plant members, works to plan the annual Independent Sheet Plant Operators Workshop, providing a meeting of the highest quality and benefit to their sector of the membership.

Legal Advisory Committee

• Reviews FBA’s legal operations
• Works with the legal counsel and president to assure the most appropriate legal management of FBA affairs

Modularity Standard Committee

• Develops voluntary standards for certain corrugated container attributes to facilitate efficient loading, handling, storage and shipment of packaged goods

Case-Ready Meat Sub-Committee

• Develops voluntary standards for certain corrugated container attributes to facilitate efficient loading, handling, storage and shipment of packaged goods

Produce Sub-Committee

• Develops voluntary standards for certain corrugated container attributes to facilitate efficient loading, handling, storage and shipment of packaged goods

RFID Task Group

• Investigates RFID technology, including current status of RFID implementation
• Recommends the role FBA should play for the industry regarding RFID

RFID Tag Recyclability Work Group

• To identify the issues and impacts in both environment and products caused by recycling corrugated containing RFID technology in its predicted form

Safety & Health Committee

• Monitors and addresses legislative and regulatory safety and health issues pertaining to corrugated products manufacturing
• Conducts studies and seminars, as needed
• Notifies the membership of relevant safety and health situations

Sustainability Committee

• The Fibre Box Association (FBA) Board made the decision to establish an ad hoc Sustainability Committee at the May 2006 FBA Board of Directors Meeting. The FBA Sustainability Committee is formed from representatives of interested member companies. The committee is created in an effort to better define, articulate and communicate the corrugated industry’s story in the sustainability arena. The committee allows FBA members to speak with one voice on the sustainability of corrugated products to various audiences.

Technical Committee

• Reviews technical developments in the production, shipment and usage of corrugated products
• Develops appropriate FBA positions and activities, including technical guidance publications
