September 16, 2025, Itasca, IL – Last week at Parcel Forum 2025, FBA Executive Vice President Cory Martin and Mackenzie Crigger, Sustainability Manager at International Paper (IP), co-presented a session titled “Ordinary but Extraordinary: Exploring the Eco-Advantages of the Tried and True Corrugated Package.” The presentation highlighted the environmental and economic benefits of corrugated packaging, with Cory emphasizing its circular lifecycle and superior recyclability compared to plastic alternatives. He also discussed how corrugated boxes can contribute to lower greenhouse gas emissions and reduce fuel costs by enabling more efficient truckloads.
Mackenzie shared insights into IP’s sustainable packaging innovations and practices, including the company’s procurement of more than 7 million tons annually. Their session was part of a broader event that brought together leaders from the e-commerce, packaging fulfillment, and logistics sectors to explore the latest innovations and trends shaping the industry.
FBA’s presentation at Parcel Forum marks the launch of a bold initiative to deepen engagement with retailers and industry partners. As part of this effort, FBA will also be speaking at PACK EXPO and participating in October’s International Fresh Produce Association Global Show and the Paper and Plastic Recycling Conference.
