PPEC – Rachel Kagan to head paper packaging’s environmental council

The environmental council for Canada’s paper packaging industry is pleased to announce the appointment of Rachel Kagan as its new Executive Director, effective February 1st.

The Paper and Paperboard Packaging Environmental Council (PPEC) was formed in 1990 and works as an umbrella organisation for Canada’s many packaging mills and converters. It lobbies governments on environmental issues, networks with other industry players, co-ordinates action nationwide, develops practical solutions, and promotes the environmental performance of the industry.

“We are really pleased to welcome Rachel as our new executive director,” said PPEC chair Chris Bartlett, president of TenCorr Packaging. “It’s a challenging job keeping on top of everything that’s going on environmentally, but I am sure she’s up to it.”
